Today, Thursday 1st December 2011 might hold significance for some.  You might have been born or married on this day, or even died, but if you are dead then I suppose this date is not significant to you becuase you are dead so do not care, but could be significant for the loved ones of the deceased.

As for me – it is nothing but another day – it started off with clear skies, sunny and cold and ended up being rainy, dark and colder.  Okay – I got to open up the first box of my advent calendar – woo hoo!

I still got to go to work and do all the boring things that most people have to do.

I am happy to announce that I was not effected by the UK strike yesterday at all.  My son’s teacher was working so he went to school, I did not run out of petrol and did not need an abulance, operation or hospital visit of any kind and nothing set on fire – just like any normal day.
